A prickling sensation poked the inside of your nose as you slept. You thought it was nothing, wanting to roll over in your comfy couch when your fingertips caught on a scratchy surface. A surface that reminded you of dried grass; in other words this wasn’t your living room.

‘What!’ Hilariously at the same time your gasp melded with a sneeze, it sounded like something from a mythical creature.

“Achoargbbb!”

A creature with an allergy problem.

“Ew! Now I got some snot on my hands.” Disgust was the only thing taking over your mind as you took a look around. Your jaw dropped. “This defiantly isn’t my living room.”

Of course, it wasn’t for you were in the middle of a gigantic yellow field. Huge hay bales surrounded you separated only by a few yards. You were between two deep gold colored ones. Quickly side-stepping away (incase the bales suddenly moved and crushed you), you found there was no civilization in sight.

“That’s just great. Not only do I not know how the hell did I got here, but I’m lost as well!” A lightbulb went off in your head. “Maybe if I’m lucky, I still have my phone?” Reaching down, you forgot that you put on pajamas and left your cell on the sink. “Crap! I am having the worst luck.”

“Oh _____, this isn’t even the half of it.”

Flinching at the sound of your name, you found a very good-looking guy who somewhat looked like a psychopath, grin.

“H-How do you know my name?” You eyed him wearily. ‘Why do I get the feeling this is like some horror game I hate?’

“Easy. I’m your worst nightmare.”

“I don’t understand.” Instinctually your body poised to run, though the man’s eyes flicked to your position and his smile widened.

“Well picture this. You fell into a mirror right? I got a little call from a dear friend whom I owe a favor to. Instructed to get a tiny something from you while dressed as your worst nightmare, naturally I had to say yes.” He took out a knife, “Horror games aren’t that bad you know…unless they’re me.”

A little red cut appeared on your hand and in pain you yelped. ‘That hurt. That actually hurt. Oh no, does that mean this is freaking real?’ In utter disbelief this was reality and not another nightmare, you started to run.

“They always run.” He chuckled.

.

.

.

Sweat and fear lingered over your pores. Fearfully, you inched to take a peek from the hay bale you were hiding beside. Seeing nothing, you almost shrieked at his voice.

“Come out, come out wherever you are, _____~. Make it easier on yourself and just surrender.”

‘Not a chance, crazy.’
You thought.

He growled. “Fine, if you don’t give up, I have no choice but to use this-“

Shink! Shink!

The pupils of your eyes dilated to pinholes. ‘What was that? It sounds heavy. It sounds like it can cut through hay-.’

“Gotcha.”

“AHHH!” Four blades stuck out from the hay next to you before they retracted. Your screech gave your position away.

“Told you I would find you.” He grabbed your hair when you tried to run away again. Feebly you struggled, successfully tearing a few hairs from your skull. “I would say sorry what I’m about to do, but I’m not really sorry.”

“No, no!”

It was a waste of breath trying to beg him not to ‘do this’ or ‘please spare me’. You had a fighting spirit. “Let go of me, you maniac!”

He paused, lowering the pitchfork. His eyes blazed and his grip on you tightened. “Don’t call me that. Anyone who insults me, dies.” His face twisted and he picked up the pitchfork, its sharpened ends sliding over your bare skin. “Maybe I should ignore my friend’s favor and kill you instead…”

Punching his leg, you spit, “You can try, insane ugly b*stard.”

“Hm, I think I like you. Too bad, you’re gonna be in a lot of pain.” He drove the pitchfork a bit deeper. You already knew what trickled down your fingers and weakness washed over your body. ‘Was this pitchfork also poisoned?’ Your thoughts wavered. ‘Wasn’t it enough I was stabbed?’

Gritted screams made its way out your teeth. The man stepped back, in awe. “I don’t meet much people I’m impressed with, but you are an exception.” He held his knife close to your face. “Should I take you with me?”

“Bite me.”

“Heh. You would have made a great protégé.” His fingers ghosted over the corners of your mouth. You took his distraction by slowly grabbing the body of the pitchfork and waited to attack. “All we have to do is fix that face-.” His sentence was cut off by his own gargle of a scream.

“Never, freak!” Hand retracting from where you slammed the pitchfork into his leg, you winced at your open cuts.

He fell to his knees and watching you run away from him. “I’m going to kill you!” His voice faded into the background and blindly you ran in any direction. The sun was hurrying to make its way to the horizon and you pleaded for it to stay up into the sky for a while longer. Fortunately, your prayer seemed to be answer by the form of a farmhouse.

“Yes!” Once at the russet colored building, you rushed to slide open the door and slammed it closed. Finding only hay occupying its space, you dove into it. ‘If I’m lucky, that nut will think I’m not here and move on.’

Placing bundle after bundle of hay over your body, you heard the noise of the farm door slowly opening. Purposeful footsteps came closer and closer to your location.

‘Please go away..’

A sound of a pitchfork was heard slicing and grabbing more hay. Your lip started to shake. Did he already find you?

Trying to muffle your sobs of instant demise, you instead heard, “Hello? I-Is someone here?”

A voice. It wasn’t the psychopath’s voice, but a gentle male one.

“Hello?” He paused. “I-I won’t hesitate to u-use this!”

“No! Wait!” You struggled to stand from all the hay that covered you. The man shrieked. “I’m sorry! I promise I don’t mean any harm!” Trying to explain yourself, you stopped; shocked. “I- um, am I hallucinating?”

Luckily, your eyes were just fine because you were in fact seeing Demetri Braginskaya, the genderbend of Ukraine. His light blue eyes picked up on the last dying rays of
light from the setting sun and his golden hair was a great set to match. He wore a beige scarf around his neck while wearing his coveralls. His face was more than nervous and he was shaking.

Staring at the pitchfork he was holding, you backed away. The horror associated with it made you more cautious. Nearly going to plead for help, Ukraine spoke.

“I don’t know. Y-You are the one in my farmhouse.”

Embarrassed, you scratched the side of your cheek. “Sorry, but I have a very good reason for that.”

Demetri didn’t seem to hear you when he pointed to your bloody torso. “What happened to you?!”

Seeing your [f/c] tantop soaked in your blood, a headache hit you. Most likely from blood loss. “That’s what I’ve been trying to explain. There was a man-“ Your pain spiked and you collapsed on the floor.

“Hey!” Demetri threw aside his pitchfork. You weren’t any threat. Only a girl that was viciously attacked by some man. Pity and paternal concern over-rid anything he had previously thought about you.

He almost cried when you whimper in pain. One tear slide from your cheek and already he wished you weren’t in agony. Holding you to his chest, he effortlessly picks you up.

“I’m going to get you some help, I promise!” He says this to soothe both you and himself.

It was amazing. He was helping you, a stranger, when he could have (would have) ran away. The headache and pain was taking away your ability to coherently speak, though you still had your sense of touch. You could feel every plane and muscle in his chest.

Woah, how much does this guy work out? ‘Stop it _____! You just got attacked earlier and…The pain..’

Feeling more than hearing Demetri move, the world is all bumps and drops. It doesn’t feel like a second passes by when you are hearing some arguing. Someone tugs your chin up and yell in some other language as your body surrenders to sleep.

~~~Timeskip Of Ukraine Blushing After Getting A Splendid View of Your Bosom~~~
“Vhat were you thinking!”
Nikolai, also known now by the human world as Belarus, started to yell at his brother. He could care less if Demetri was in near tears.
“I had to help her, bruder! She was bleeding and there isn’t a hospital for miles so-.”
“So you brought her here? Do you know Ivan hates surprises and most of all me?” Nikolai grabbed your chin, “She looks veak. You should have left her to die. “
“You don’t mean that.” He held you closer to him, afraid his brother was going to take you away.
“I do.” A silver glint caught Demetri’s eyes. Not bothering to guess what was obviously in Nikolai’s hand, Demetri’s crybaby expression hardened into something even Nikolai took a step back from.
“You will not hurt her.”
It was rare to see his older brother standing his ground and rarer he was being threatening him. However, Nikolai knew his bounds when Demetri got like this. He backed off. “Fine. Do what you want. I want no part in this, but I’m warning you if she so much as try to hurt one of us, I will not hesitate to stab a knife through her.”
“Very well.” Demetri watched his brother skulk into a corner and gently placed you onto a plushy couch.
~~~Timeskip Of Demetri Sensually Caressing Your Wounds~~~

“Hmm…” Blurry images passed by your vision and you rubbed your eyes. The images in front of you sharpened, revealing a white ceiling and big cerulean eyes. It took you a moment to drown the scream ready to be thrown from your mouth.

“Hello! Good evening, miss.” Demetri said. “I hope you had a great nap. My brother and I took care of you while you were asleep.”

“You did?”

Nikolai grunted. Clearly, he was thinking of anything opposite of caring for you.

“Da. Also, I have to say you have amazing healing!” Demetri gestured to your former wounds, “They are already closed and gone. It’s almost not human!”

“Human…” You murmured. Vaguely, you remembered a man trying to hurt you, yet the memory was foggy. “Could I ask you a question?”

“Of course.”

“Do you…is there…” You bit your lip and decided if he thought you were crazy, it wouldn’t be much worse than being in a foreign place where fantasy characters existed. “Are you possibly a personification of a country and if so, please don’t kill me because I know?”

He chuckled. “I knew you were going to ask sooner or later. Da, I am. Specifically, I am Ukraine, though most call me by my other name which is Demetri. Over there is my brother, Nikolai also Belarus.” He lightly touched your stray lock of hair, “And I wouldn’t dream of hurting you.”

“Thanks.” Demetri’s actions never ceased to make you breathless. Ukraine continued to smile and pinked.

“I had made some varenyky while you were asleep. Would you like some?” He received your nod and turned to Nikolai, “Bruder, do vant some too?” Belarus just shrugged. Taking that as a yes, Demetri went to retrieve the food. You were going to follow him, but he urged you to stay put. “I vill get it.”

His generosity wasn’t lost on you. It caused you to feel warm and fuzzy when you felt Nikolai’s scary presence in the room. It didn’t surprise you that Belarus was there in the shadows, glaring.

“I don’t trust you; no matter how much unfounded faith my bruder has for you.”

This guy was delusional. Figures. He is the Genderbend of the cannon female Belarus. “The feeling is mutual.”

Demetri came back into the room and felt the dark aura between you two intensify. He purposefully stepped in-between and shoved a plate into his brother’s hands. “I’m sure you haven’t eaten in a while. Eat.” The Belarusian grunted and kept to his corner. Ever watchful.

The blonde sighed and made his way over to him. “Forgive him. Usually Katyusha is better in keeping him behaved.”

“Katyusha?” No way. Did she still exist despite Demetri being her Genderbend?

“She’s, um, my twin sister.”

Well, that makes a lot of sense. “Wow.”

“I know. But unfortunately she is away on a business trip right now and took the Baltic Nations too. All that’s left in the house is me, Nikolai, and soon to be Ivan.” He weakly smiled and handed you the food. “Here. You must be hungry after what happened.”

You froze. “You know what happened to me?”

“You said you were, uh, attacked by a man.”

“I did?” Funny, you couldn’t remember.

“Da.” He blinked. “…Am I wrong?”

Nikolai got up from his seat. “I knew it! She is lying!” He took out a knife.

“Bruder, calm down! She has just been through a horrible experience!”

“Feh. For all we know that could be a lie and she only came here because she is one of those demented fans!”

“I am not! Plus, I’m not the one holding a knife.”

Nikolai’s eyes blazed and Demetri gripped his younger brother’s arm tightly. In shock, Nikolai whipped his head toward him, all anger dissipating. “Bruder?”

“Remember what I told you earlier.”

Nikolai swallowed hard. He hadn’t seen such a look on his brother’s face since the Soviet Union formed. “Da.”

“Good.” Demetri reverted back to all smiles and lightly touched your hand. “You know our names, but we don’t know yours. What is it?”

If he didn’t look so innocent, you could have almost forgotten that terrifying look he had seconds earlier. “_____. My name is _____.”

He paused and said it himself. “_____. I like that name! It’s very pretty.” Demetri held your hand between his own. The contact was more than enough to get your blood flowing double time.

Nikolai mumbled a word in Belarusian when a door slammed open and Ivan calling, “Oh Demetri~ Nikolai~ I’m home!”

You watched Demetri become super happy. Nikolai snapped his head to the front door. “Ivan!” The brothers jumped up and greeted Ivan. Wanting to give them their moment, you decided to linger back.

Demetri clasped Ivan’s back, happy his brother was home. Nikolai clutched onto Ivan murmuring, “Stay with me. Stay with me. Stay with me.”

You rose a brow. ‘Huh. Sounds like Female Belarus’s ‘Marry me’…if he doesn’t say it to Ivan…then who does he say it to?’

Demetri backed away from Ivan and gestured to you. Hesitantly, you came forward and he said, “I know you don’t like surprises, but I found this girl hurt and alone. I brought her to our home, so she wouldn’t be alone anymore.” He chirped.

Ivan took one look at you, purple eyes surveying you. The gaze felt more like a glower until his face lightened. Creepy.

“I always like new guests. You will become one with Mother Russia, da?”

“Er…” You weren’t sure if you should answer at all, when Demetri distracted him by telling him your name.

He took your hand and kissed its back. “Pleasure, ______.”

Trying to keep a smile and not run, you replied, “It’s nice to meet you.”

“Call me, Ivan. Now will you excuse me, sunflower? I have some business I have to attend to.” A last lingering gaze and Ivan disappeared into the mansion.

“My bruder looks scary, but he is a good man in the inside.” Demetri stared after him, worried if he was shitting himself out again.

“You see the best in people.” This was said more of a statement than a question.

“I guess I do. You are very insightful, lyubov.”

Wondering what he said, Demetri got your varenyky and accidentally saw the outline of your bra. He blushed. “It’s getting cold, you should eat it.”

“What about you?”

“I’ll- uh- eat later. You eat.”

Hiding your grin of his returning shyness, you gladly ate.

~~~Final Timeskip Of You Finding Out About Demetri’s Secret ‘Tracks of Land’~~~
Demetri gave you a tour of the house after you finished eating. He offered his assistance when you found your legs were wobbly to walk on. Nonetheless you weren’t fond of asking more of his help since you felt you imposed on him enough already. He claimed he didn’t mind and it wasn’t until you fell down and nearly taking him with you, did you finally relinquish your pride.
It wasn’t hard to see you both had an attraction for one another because when you blushed, he fumbled with his words. Particularly, it worsened when he showed you a view of his room.
“Here is my room.” He reddened, realizing the implications. “I-I didn’t mean it like that. I meant look in my room. Not that I want to take you to bed-er, um, I mean-.”
You giggled. The poor guy was really horrible at this. Loosening your grip on his arm, you peered into his room. “There is a lot of blue and yellow in here.”
He nervously laughed. “It is my nation’s colors.”
“Hmm. Can I have a closer look?”
Demetri gaped. “A-Are you sure?”
“Yes. I want to see more of your room. Is that bad?” Together, you and he walked forward into his quarters.
“No. It’s just…I didn’t expect you to be that interested.”
You shook your head. “I’m always interested.” Not bothering to see his look, you chose to take in the view. His room was truly exquisite. Whoever painted those blues and yellows had a balanced eye. It almost made you giggle to see the Ukrainian flag hanging over the headboard of his bed. ‘Someone loves his country a lot.’
Eyes wandering around, yours caught on Belarus idly wandering past Demetri’s room. You started to shiver and Demetri felt it.
“Would you like me to close the door? Wait, I-“ Ukraine could have kicked himself. Why was everything he said sound so perverted?
“Yes, please. No offense, but your brother is creeping me out.”
Demetri agreed and closed the door, yet it was slightly unnerving to have you alone with him in his own room. He could have passed out from the way his body was acting
when he saw you stare at his shelf full of horror games.
Seeing these games made you flash on some memory that seemed too horrible to be real. You staggered back. ‘Why does seeing this make me want to curl in on myself?’
“I see you found my secret- _-____!” Ukraine caught you and you glanced upward, his face close to yours.
“Demetri…”
You both blushed and you could taste each other’s breath. It was needless to say very intimate. Something more could have happened when Ivan knocked.
“Why is the door closed? You aren’t hiding anything from me? Demetri?”
“No, bruder.” He softly grinned at you and you smiled back, though a bit disappointed the moment was ruined. Demetri opened the door and Ivan was there; Nikolai behind him. “We were exploring my, um, room.”
“Vell, don’t close the door. I don’t like secrets.” Ivan took another look at you.
“Right.” Demetri bobbed his head in understanding. Going past them, he led you to your room. “Here is vhere you will sleep. Hope you like it.”
Reassuring his hopeful tone, you cheerfully answered, “Its perfect.” You were mindful of Ivan and Nikolai behind you. Maybe it was best to get some sleep before the creepy brothers did something else. “Goodnight everyone. Goodnight Demi.” You whispered.
Demetri held your hand, firmly. “Do you need help getting into your room?”
“I’m fine. Goodnight.” Swaying and clutching the doorknob for support, you closed the door to hear Demetri’s “Goodnight ______”.
Going and collapsing on your bed, you bit the edge of your thumbnail not quite believing you nearly kissed Demetri on your first day of meeting him. It all seemed unreal. Though it begged the question, how on Earth you managed to be transported to another dimension where Hetalia and its Genderbends existed.?
The ‘how’ was going to be hard to find out with this memory loss and with it came your biggest fear. Your previous life was chipping away as well as your precious memories with your parents; whom you dearly loved.
Now all that clouded your mind was “Why am I forgetting them?...”
“…And how do I get back home?”
Author’s Note: This may or may not be influenced by the horror games I used to play. Some crazy sheet, I’m telling you. ^^; Also, it helps tie in with Ukraine making surreal “kuro” horror games.
Bio On Male Ukraine's personality: Like his twin sister, Katyusha, he is very kind hearted and is willing to help anyone in need. He is super giving and trusting. He is also sadly a crybaby, but if anyone hurts a person he is protecting, he pulls in his scary face from his Soviet Union days. However, this 'other side' of him lastly for a short period before he reverts to his cute and kind-hearted self.
Hope you love! I tried to gear this more into the intimacy that the Reader could find if she found someone as caring as Demetri <3 The X3 emoticon
...These "Russian" countries give me the shivers that crawl down my spine...but I guess it's kinda abnormal that I was smiling through those shivery moments... Nonetheless, this was cute~ (I'm kinda bipolar, so...this comment was absolutely normal...:floating: )
