Meeting You - Hiro x Reader

In one San Fransokyo afternoon, life was normal. People gladly walked from street to street peacefully- that is until you pushed them out of the way yelling, “Get out of the way!”

Your little sneakers hit the pavement in a rapid dash while people behind you said,

“What a rude little girl”

“She sure must be in a rush”

You rolled your eyes while you clutched your backpack strap tightly hoping the people behind you wouldn’t catch you and your robot.

Then that’s when you heard the dreaded thugs chasing you, “Eh you kid! You robbed me of my money!!”

Halfway turning while still running you saw the Red Lotus angrily shoving people from their path to get to you. The head thug called Han pointed to you with a furious face.

Sadly when you turned you ran into somebody with a hard thud. “Umpf!” Your bodies flew until you ended up falling on top of the person. Both of you groaning in pain you pushed yourself up. Looking down you gasped.

Beneath you was a very good looking boy with big brown eyes and fuzzy black hair that stood up every which way. He stared back at you with a blush on his face thus causing you to stand up flustered.

“S-Sorry. I didn’t see you there” You apologized.

The boy answered as he got up also, “Its ok. But are you okay?”

Answering, “I’m fine-“ Though you were interrupted when the thugs behind you bellowed, “Found you tiny ant”

A few feet from you was Han and he started to sprint toward you. Quickly snatching your backpack from the ground, you told the boy, “Sorry gotta go!” and ran past him. The boy gave you an awed face and said, “Hey wait up!” but he was shoved to the pavement by Han.

Han  growled, “If you stop this instant girl I will consider not beating you with my fists”

You weren’t the type of person to take threats lightly.” Oh really?” Smirking you continued, “Its not my fault that you can’t win a simple robot fight loser!”

Han, whose face was already a light red reddened even more, bellowed to his companions, “Get her!!”

Gulping hard, you continued running when you saw your friend Fred a street away in his car happily licking an icecream.

Doing a hard right and jumping over a dog, you reached your friend in time. Not caring you thrust open the car door and jumped in, Fred screamed dropping his ice cream. He continued screaming until he realized it was you.

“Oh hey {First}” He looked down to see his spilt ice cream, “You made me drop my ice cream!”

You shook your head when you heard Han 20 feet from you yell, “Get that brat!”

Puzzled Fred turned to you, “Who are they talking about?”

You ignored his question when Han pulled a gun. Screeching, “Drive Fred!!!” you quickly put on your seatbelt.

Fred turned to see Han already with gun out and finger on the trigger. “Woah dude!!” His foot slammed the gas pedal.

After speeding through San Fransokyo’s streets like the devil was at your heels, Fred finally came to the parking lot of his university scolding you.

“{First} what was that?!”

You meekly looked down opening your bag to make sure your homemade robot was intact. “I was being chased by the Red Lotus gang”

“The gang that does robot fights? That’s illegal!”

“I know” You bit your lip.

Fred sighed. Usually he wouldn’t care if it was anybody else but you were like a little sister to him. “You should stop that” He stated as he stared at your robot in your hands. “Your older sister is going to have a heart attack”

An icy spike of fear was thrusted into your body. “Please don’t tell her! I-I’ll do anything you want but please don’t tell her!”

Fred scratched his chin thinking, “Hmm well I guess we could use your big brain for our lab”

You rose an eyebrow, “Who is ‘we’?” Your mind clicked, “Aw come on! You are not talking about the Nerd Lab, are you? No offense I may be smart but I’m not a nerd” Putting your feet on the dashboard of his car and crossing your arms, Fred grinned. 

“Dude trust me its going to be awesome! Also we have a kid who is about your age”

Mildly interested, you turned your head to him. “You do? What is he a kid genius?”

Fred eagerly nodded happy he got your interest, “Yep! He could be smarter than you”

Flipping your hair away from your face you felt your ego was in jeopardy, “Pfft a kid genius huh? I bet I’m smarter than that kid”

Smirking Fred replied, “If you come inside to the university, I could introduce you to him”

You shrugged, “Meh why not. I’ll teach that boy the real meaning of genius” Getting out of the car, you stared at the huge door leading to the inside of the university. It was intimidating. Shaking off your fear, you haughtily got in.

Entering the Nerd Lab, you gasped.

“Holy crap!” you stated.  You babbled and pointed to various things at Fred when you poked a marshmellow looking thing. It was so…so puffy. “What’s this thing supposed to do?”

The huge marshmellow thing seemed to turn around and you backed away from it cautious.

“Hello” The thing said. “I am Baymax. I am here to serve any health needs you may have” The robot flashed a beam of light at you.

“Hey what the-?!”

“Scan complete. You show to have a slightly elevated heart rate”

“Maybe because you freaked me out with your scanner beam..so your name’s Baymax huh? Cool name” You turned to Fred though he was already busy yelling to his friends, “Hey guys I brought a friend over! She would like to meet you”

Suddenly three college students came over and greeted Fred before turning to you.

“She looks so tiny” A girl with a pixie cut said as she took a lollipop from her mouth, “My name’s GoGo”

A blonde fasnionista girl came in front of GoGo and hugged you. “My name is Honey Lemon! You look adorable!”

You disentangled yourself from her when your back hit a sturdy surface. Gazing up you saw a big black dude and he smiled, “Hello I’m Wasabi nice to meet you!”

Startled by all these eccentric people, you stuttered, “H-Hello”

Grinning Fred said, “Hey Hiro get your head out from that invention and meet my friend” You heard a boyish voice reply, “In a minute I am just about done!”

Not liking his answer, Fred stomped over to the cluttered part of the lab and disappeared only for you to hear Hiro say, “Eh stop! What are you-ack!”

Fred came out of the lab with the boy named Hiro in front of him. However when you saw him your heart skipped a beat. It was the same boy you ran into this afternoon.

By the time you recognized him, he also recognized you. “I know you! You ran into me then you ran across the street and disappeared with thugs chasing you”

You sheepishly grinned. “Yeah I was sort of in a robot fight and when I won the thugs started chasing me saying that I cheated”

Hiro smiled. “Huh what sort of robot did you use?”

Coolly laying back on the side of one of the lab tables you stated, “One made of Titanium alloy equipped with a diamond-lined blade for attacking”

Impressed Hiro gazed at you up and down before replying, “I used to have a robot made up of microbots- I bet it would annihilate yours in a second”

“You challenging me Hiro?”

“Yeah I am”

You smiled, “Alright then but don’t get angry if I win” You took away your robot from your bag while Hiro ran to get his.

“By the way, what’s your name?” Hiro asked when he finally found his robot.

“{First}” You set up your robot and sat down on the floor as Hiro did the same.  Baymax sat down on the floor interested in this game. The others followed suit and placed bets.

“May the better person win” You told him.

“Let’s begin”

And so started a wonderful friendship…with some romance on the side.
